Install Teamviewr for Remote Control
TeamViewer is a good remote control software and it is free for personal usage (not free for business usage). TeamViewer's major advantage is that you need not to care about port forwarding if your server is behind a router/NAT. Just install and run it, remote control is ready.
Step 1. Download TeamViewer (1.4M) and install it on your server. Normally click "Next" until install finished.
Step 2. Startup TeamViewer, and you will get an ID and Password (all are numbers). Just tell us the ID and password, and then we could remotely login to loate and solve your problem.

Install RealVNC for Remote Control
RealVNC is a good remote control software and it has free edition (with less function) for you. Using RealVNC, you need to open 5800/5900 port on your firewall. If your server is behind a router/NAT, you need to create 5800/5900 port forwarding on router. Tell us the IP address of your server and VNC password for remote control support
Step 1. Download RealVNC (726K), and start to install it.
Step 2: Click Next and Next. When on "Select components" tab, you must check-on "VNC Server" (while "VNC Viewer" is optional). VNC Server is run to make your server could be controled by remote side.

Step 3: Click Next and Next. When "Ready to install" tab, click Install button. Below password settings page will show. Click "Set password" button to enter your VNC password.

Step 4: Click Next and Next until completion. VNC will auto startup and ready for remote control on LAN.
Step 5: Goto your firewall control panel, enable port 5800/5900 in your firewall. For Windows XP firewall, refer to How to configure firewall.
Step 6: If your server is behind a router, forward port 5800/5900 from router to server. For LinkSys router, refer to How to configure router/NAT.
Now your remote control is ready. Please mail us your server's external IP address and VNC password to us, so that we can login to locate and solve your problems. To know your external IP address, you can find it in router's status page, or visit this page: http://www.aamailsoft.com/ip.php.
